soffit, fascia, and railing

1 year ago, I didn't even know what soffit and fascia were. Now, I've picked my own out. It is all done. I got a pic just before they finished. Dax finished the stones in the entry way. Just one section to go above the window. And look at this kick butt railing. It is super cool and modern. I love it. Fun with the green paint, I believe.

This is really not all that is happening but there is no time to post EVERYTHING on the house right now. Craig is working so hard, so is Dax, and my brother Trent, and I even worked for several hours today since Dax needed a break from the house and I gladly took my opportunity for a break from the kids. This process is overwhelming and almost more than we can handle sometimes. Especially now that it seems so close but yet there is still so many little things to do. But I know it will all be worth it. I hope the people that are helping us will think that, too. Mostly, they will just be glad it's over. We are getting ever closer!

Progress

We are making progress slowly, but surely. We have had bad weather, but we finished all the concrete right before it snowed. If only I had spent one more day on the stones! Now I will have to finish them working inside a plastic tent with a heater. We painted this week and installed the kitchen cabinets. They look really good. I bet Tristie might want to post more about the paint colors. I can't wait to move in, but it seems like the list of little details that we still need to take care of keeps getting longer instead of shorter. Soon, I hope. Enjoy the photos.
